On July 7th at 8:33pm, Patrolman Chris Ebert arrested Brett Podinker, 48, of Barnegat for DWI after responding to a report of an erratic driver.
An anonymous caller had reported a black GMC Envoy driving erratically on Route 9. Based on the caller’s description and a partial license plate number, Ptl. Ebert was able to locate the vehicle, which was being operated by Podinker, on Freedom Hills Drive.
Podinker’s vehicle was impounded for 12 hours in accordance with John’s Law. He was processed and released with summonses for DWI and reckless driving.
